Hello friend!

Welcome to Synchronize.

Let's begin.

What is Synchronize Tutoring?

The Synchronize Advantage

99.9% of our tutors are current students or recent graduates from Georgia Tech or the University of Georgia.

Why does this matter? Most students prefer learning from someone closer to their own age rather than from much older instructors—no offense intended to our esteemed competitors! Research indicates that students often engage more effectively and learn more efficiently from individuals close to their age group. This dynamic fosters better communication and understanding, keeping sessions lively and relatable.

At Synchronize Tutoring, we leverage this peer advantage. Our tutors aren’t just educators; they're mentors and potentially lifelong connections who can offer firsthand insights into college life and beyond. The Synchronize difference doesn't just prepare students academically; it integrates mentoring, leading to enriched learning experiences and preparing students for future academic and social endeavors. Synchronizing success, inside and outside the classroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

The structure of a typical session can vary based on the selected program, but generally, students attend two seperate one-hour sessions per week. Each session begins with a review of the student’s recent quizzes and exams to assess their current understanding. We utilize screen sharing to interact directly with the student’s online learning platform, such as Canvas, ItsLearning, D2L, or another school-provided system. This allows us to engage directly with the content they are studying. During the session, we may review the student's grades, revisit missed questions, and tackle assignments where they underperformed. We then plan ahead, determining the focus of future sessions based on upcoming exams or homework. This approach ensures we address areas where the student needs improvement or has specific queries. As we work through the material, we explain concepts and solve problems together, then have the student attempt similar problems to reinforce their understanding. Throughout, the tutor takes detailed notes on areas of difficulty, sometimes capturing screenshots for the student’s reference. This helps solidify the learning and provides a valuable resource for the student to review later.

Payment specifics are managed by your facilitator, not the tutor. We operate on an hourly session rate basis. You can make payments using Zelle, Apple Cash, PayPal, CashApp, or your preferred method. After discussing with the facilitator, you'll decide on the payment frequency—most choose to pay per session, although weekly or bi-weekly options are also available. For schedules extending beyond a week, payments must be made upfront in accordance with our policy. Please ensure all payments are made through an officially approved Synchronize Tutoring method, and never directly to the tutor.

If you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late or need to miss a session, please inform the facilitator or your tutor at least 12 hours in advance. A failure to notify us will incur a $10 fee. Should your designated tutor be unavailable for a session, rest assured, another qualified tutor will step in temporarily until your regular tutor returns.

Absolutely! We encourage consistent pairing because it fosters a strong tutor-student relationship. Familiarity with the student's learning style allows the tutor to provide more effective guidance, enhancing both academic progress and mentorship.
